ABCs of Joy – H is for Hugs, Hygge, and Hair

Today’s joy challenge is simply to do whichever joyous thing you want today.

Hugs are essential to a healthy, thriving life so whether you hug a person or a pet, make sure you hug someone today – and every day.

Other joyful H things:
♡ Hygge, that Danish word that basically means cozy. Curl up in front of a fire with tea, a blanket, and a book or Netflix. Perfect for these winter days.
♡ Hair. A fresh haircut and colour – especially if it’s a fun one – can make you feel like a new person. If you’re overdue for a trim, make sure you put it on your calendar soon. 

🌈The goal of this 26 day challenge is to bring more joy into our daily lives. This, in turn, helps bring us more abundance and success. ABCs of Joy – G is for Giggles, Gratefulness, and Glitter.

Today’s joy challenge is to make sure that you are actually doing something every day to bring more joy into your life. Don’t just watch the videos – step out of your comfort zone and try something new, either one of my suggestions or one of your own.

Other joyful G things:
♡ Giggles. Make your kids laugh or watch a YouTube video of babies giggling.
♡ Gratefulness. Before you go to sleep tonight, list at least 3 things that you’re grateful for.
♡ Glitter. Find something glittery and watch it sparkle.

ABCs of Joy – F is for Friends, Fire, and Fairy Lights.

Today’s joy challenge is to reach out to a friend (via text, phone, or real life) and say hi, make plans, or just tell them that you love and appreciate them. Friends bring joy in countless ways – don’t let your busy life get in the way of prioritising those relationships.

Other joyful F things:
🔥Fire. I love fires. They’re mesmerizing and meditative.
💡Fairy lights. Teeny tiny lights on a string brighten up any space and make it more joyful. I have lights in my house all year round. Why not put some up in yours?

ABCs of Joy – E is for Enjoyment, Echos, and Elephants.

Today’s joy challenge is to enjoy yourself, either by shifting your perspective to enjoy a mundane activity or by taking 15 minutes for yourself to do something you truly enjoy.

Other joyful E things:
¤ Elephants. They’re beautiful creatures and many people find themselves smiling when they see elephants. There’s a reason you see them on everything from clothing to home decor 🐘
¤ Echos. This one is a little harder but keep it in mind for some day when you happen upon an echoey place so that you can stop and take a few minutes to play with the sound.

ABCs of Joy – D is for Dancing, Dragonflies, and Donuts.

Today’s joy challenge is to dance. Dance around your house to your favourite song or sign up for a dance class! It doesn’t matter what kind of dancing or who you dance with, but moving your body to music is a great way to create joy – even if it’s just tapping your foot!

Other joyful D things:
◇ Dragonflies. Like butterflies, they are beautiful, colourful, creatures who flit around in magical ways.
◇ Donuts. They’re round, and colourful (if you get glaze or sprinkles), and they’re delicious!
