ABCs of Joy – U is for Unicorns, Ukuleles, and Universe.

Today’s joy challenge is to make a list of everything in the Universe that brings you joy. It can be as long or short as you wish. But since the Universe IS joy, you might be busy for a while 😉

Other joyful U things:
♡ Unicorns. Because we often think of them as also having rainbows and sparkles.
♡ Ukulele. The music this instrument makes is nothing less than joyful. Go listen to some on Spotify or YouTube.

ABCs of Joy – T is for Time, Tea, and Tinsel.

Today’s joy challenge is to make time for joy today and every day. It’s so easy to say that we don’t have time but we are actually in charge of all of our time. We get to choose how we use our time so make sure that you are creating time in your schedule for your joy practice.

Other joyful T things:
♡ Tea. Because it’s delicious, you can drink it out of your favourite mug or tea cup, and to even the ritual of making it is joyful.
♡ Tinsel. It’s bright, colourful, sparkly, and celebratory. Don’t just save it for the holidays, enjoy it every day!

ABCs of Joy – S is for Smiles, Singing, and Sunshine.

Today’s joy challenge is to smile. Even if you start by forcing a smile, you’ll find that they come much more easily afterwards. If that sounds weird, ask someone to send you jokes or memes to get you smiling.

Other joyful S things:
♡ Singing. You don’t have to be good at it – just do it! If you don’t want to sing in front of others, put on your favourite song in the car and sing away where no one can hear you. Singing is a great way to open the throat chakra as well.

By the way, what is your favourite song?

♡ Sunshine. Go outside and get some sun! The light will bring you joy as well as some much needed vitamin D ☀️

ABCs of Joy – R is for Roses, Rainbows, and Ripples

Today’s joy challenge is for you to choose: buy some roses, find a rainbow, or play with ripples.

Joyful R things:
♡ Rose’s are beautiful and the shape of them makes us feel expansive. Many together helps us feel abundant. Both are joyful feelings.
♡ Rainbows are unexpected, and rare, and beautiful, all of which makes them joyful.
♡ Ripples are also expansive as well as meditative. Make some in a puddle or the sink and play with them.

ABCs of Joy – Q is for Quartz, Quietude, and Quilts

Today’s joy challenge is to create quietude. Or, in the words of @depechemode Enjoy The Silence. Quietude, silence, stillness are all good for our bodies, minds, and souls. If you’re not used to it, start with a minute and then work your way up. Many people like to drink their morning tea or coffee while sitting in silence. It’s a great practice. Do you do it?

Other joyful Q things:
♡ Quartz. I, personally love crystals and gemstones but also quartz is a natural energy enhancer. It raises your vibration. It makes you joyful!
♡ Quilts. Not only the beautiful colours and patterns, but all the love that goes into sewing them makes quilts joyful.
